History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back sergey Vasilievich Vonsovsky: Magnetism of a Human Being (Person) V.Yu. Irkhin The life of Sergey Vasilievich Vonsovsky – one of the founders of the Institute of Metal Physics and Ural Scientific School on solid state physics and magnetism is considered. S.V. Vonsovsky started his scientific work in the thirties of the 20th century. Together with S.P.Shubin the multielectron polar and s-d exchange models of a crystal were proposed. He devoted his life to the development of a number of fundamental problems of the physics of magnetic phenomena, productive administrative and pedagogical work.
