The article is devoted to history of development of inventive activity in the institute since 1947 till present. The article represent periods of invention development which are divided into four main stages. It also specifies the best inventors of institute, main specialists of the department of intellectual property protection and providing the scientific and technical information (OIS&NTI), engaged in patent information support, patent legal protection of scientific and technical developments of institute, scientific and information service of staff of institute. The article also give a short description of the most significant inventions of the institute created in the most different years.
