Michael Stiefel (1487−1567) and Set Theoretic
Representation of the XVI Century |
Sinkevich G.I.

But in Michael Stifel`s book «Arithmetica Integra» in 1544 there is an interesting construction. Stifel demonstrates that there are infinitely many numbers in the segment. This fact stayed in the background in Russian literature, and this article is to right his discovery.
