History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back The History of the Development of the Concept «Attitude» and its Peculiarities in the Context of Modern Education Shaykhutdinova T.N. The historical analysis of the concept «attitude», presented in article in different spheres of scientific knowledge, shows dynamics of development of representations of scientists about this concept and allows to reveal specifics of this definition, to define its structural components in a modern educational context. The attitudes of the person, which were initially studied as structural units of the emotional sphere, nowadays are considered as a result of the interconnected functioning of cognitive, emotional – volitional and functional spheres of the person; express a subjective position of the personality to something, objectifying its external forms of human activity. The attitude is considered by the author of the article as an effective means of formation of socially-significant qualities of students. The author suggests that, generating a certain kind of attitude in the educational process purposefully, we can expect changes in the system of human values, behavior and forms of activity. The significance of the concept in education is that the process of its formation when studying always has a bright emotional coloring, involves mechanisms of intellectual perception, influences the personal activity and behavior. Thus, to maximize a personal-developing potential of a modern educational process – is necessary to organize it at the semantic level of knowledge.
