History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back The Shamil’s Campaign in the Kabarda in the April of 1846 in Reflection of the Narrative Sources of the Personal Origin Urusov A.A. In the article the features of reflection of a campaign of the imam Shamil in Kabarda in April, 1846 of narrative sources of a personal origin are investigated. It is noted that this group of sources is important for understanding of circumstances and conditions of an analyzed event. In the work the memoirs of such authors, as are considered: N. Gorchakov, I. Nitsik, Gajah-Alya, etc. The military-political situation on the Central Caucasus Mountains before Shamil’s campaign in Kabarda is described. The main circumstances of this event and its importance in the Caucasian war as a whole are in detail considered. The conclusion is drawn that in Kabarda in April, 1846 narrative sources of a personal origin are important for research of circumstances and features of a campaign of Shamil. Their comparison to archival documents and cartographic materials allow to restore a detailed picture of the described phenomenon that allows to meet in a certain measure the formed lack in a domestic the science of Kavkaz on this perspective.
