History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Incipience of High Technical Education In the Republic of Bashkortostan Khadimullina E.D. Udalova E.A. Khadimullin R.R. Mazitov R.M. The historical basis of the emergence of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the 1930s institutions of higher education is established. It is shown that the impetus for intensive development of higher technical school was Moscow Oil Institute named after Academician I.M. Gubkin (Moscow) and the Aviation Institute named after S. Ordzhonikidze (Rybinsk), which was evacuated during Great Patriotic War (1941–1945) to Ufa, and on their base were formed in the following years leading technical universities of the Republic of Bashkortostan – Ufa State Petroleum Technological University and Ufa State Aviation Technical University .
