History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Names of Devices and Equipment for Camels Used in Tsengel Dialect Bayarsaikhan B. This article considers and describes names of devices and equipment used in Tsengel dialect. The author divides these words into lexicosemantic groups and compares them with similar groups of words in the literary Tuvan language. Of importance is also the consideration of peculiarities of Tsengel dialect in comparison with other dialects of the Tuvan literary language and with those of other related Turkic languages. On the whole, the vocabulary related to stock breeding in the Tuvan literary language and in Tsengel dialect tends to be stable; the nucleus of this vocabulary being made up of words of Turkic origin which have one meaning and terminological character.
