Shishkina The focus of work related to the study of issues dealing with non-stationary processes with abnormal movement of liquids, particularly oil with a high paraffi n content. When operating the pipelines transporting highly paraffi nic oil and oil products, there is a change of phase states of a moving fl uid, which leads to the special nature of the thermodynamic processes. Waxy crude oil and petroleum products are considered as two-component system – highly viscous liquid phase plus paraffi n subjected to the phase transformation in a certain temperature range - and thermal processes in it as the transfer of heat conductivity in the presence of distributed sources. The variety and complexity of the hydrodynamic and thermal processes occurring during transport paraffi n oil through pipelines, causes diffi culties in conducting theoretical studies. In each case the initial balance equations are subjected to various simplifi cations, and the fi nal form of the equations that are used to build an appropriate mathematical model is determined by the characteristic features of the transportation process. The study of temperature effects and the development of new mathematical models are of interest for engineering and technical personnel associated with the operation of pipelines.
