History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back SCIENTIFIC SCHOOLS IN RADIO ENGINEERING AND RADIO ELECTRONICS V.V. Kudryavtsev The development of scientifi c schools which had a great impact on the forming of native radio engineering, radio electronics and radio industry is presented in the brief historical review. The fundamental results of scientifi c schools of V.K. Arkadiev, M.V. Shuleikin, B.A. Vvedenskiy, A.L. Mints, N.D. Devyatkov and A.A. Pistol'kors are considered. Owing to activity of these outstanding scientists and their followers the theoretical and applied presuppositions for origin of radiophysics in 1930–1940 years as a scientifi c discipline were created. For the purpose of objective reconstruction of events under discussion the fragments of radio technicians’ (leaders of scientifi c schools) recollections and their disciples are given.
