History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back SCIENTIFIC RADIOPHYSICAL SCHOOL OF MOSCOW STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY G.N. Gol’tsman, G.M. Chulkova History of development of scientifi c radiophysical school of Moscow State Pedagogical University is given. Its origin at the Department of General and Experimental Physics and functioning (inside of RPLAB and SERC) is primarily connected with such scientists as N.N. Malov, E.M. Gershenzon, G.N. Gol’tsman, V.S. Etkin. They and their followers fulfi lled fundamental investigations in the fi eld of physics SHFoscillations, semiconductor parametric amplifi ers, distant monitoring of the Earth and the World Ocean by radiophysical methods, physics of non-equilibrium phenomena and dimensionally heterogeneous processes in superconducting nanostructures, etc. The received results are widely and successfully used in quantum cryptography, radioastronomy, physics of high-speed processes, nanooptics. Signifi cant attention is paid to the modern investigations that are being carried out in the scientifi c radiophysical school of MSPU.
