Shavshukova, Ye.A. Udalova, V.G. Konesev The article describes the main aspects of the use of surface-active substances (surfactants) in drilling fl ush fl uids. It is shown that the use of surfactants has contributed to solving the main task of the oil industry of the country – increase of the level of oil production. The role of the all-Union meetings on matters of oil production, which contributed to adoption of important governmental decisions on the introduction of new scientifi c results in technological processes of oil industry to increase of oil recovery and the development of the oil industry in the country as a whole.
