Almatov Leonid Ivantsov belongs to the cohort of scientists who put your hand not only to the development of certain branches of physics, but also paid close attention to the development of physical education in our country. Starting to work as a student under the guidance of renowned physicists G.S. Landsberg, S.L. Mandelstam – he became one of the founders of the technique of spectral semiquantitative analysis, emission spectral analysis. In 1945 he was awarded the State (Stalin) prize of the USSR. Actively worked in the fi eld of development and use physical education equipment for the middle and high schools. Over the years, scientific work has prepared more than 40 candidates of chemical and pedagogical Sciences, was a scientific Advisor of 4 doctoral theses in pedagogy, theory and methodology of creation and use of learning tools.
