History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back THE HISTORY OF THE CREATING AND FORMING OF EASTERN EUROPE FLORA EXPOSITION IN THE MBG RAS R.Z. Saodatova, A.A. Yershova The main idea of the article is the chronological account of the events, connected with building and shaping of structure and composition of botanical-geographical exposition, created in 1945–1946 years in MBG RAS. The plants for Eastern Europe fl ora exposition were brought mostly from native habitats. The ecological-phytocenotic groups was shaped: the plants of coniferous and large-leaved forests, the plants of meadows and steppes, the plants of chalk mountains and limestone outcrops, the plants of Carpathians mountain forest and meadows, the water and wetland plants. In results, the living things collection of Eastern Europe plants was created, which numbering 355 species from 227 genus and 78 families. Special attention was paid to cultivation of rare and endangered plant species. In the article accounted the purpose, methods and principles of building the exposition, referred to some scientific research, carried on the base of the plant collection.
