TO THE HISTORY OF THE CONCEPT OF SELF-ORGANIZATION IN CHEMISTRY |

A brief history of the concept of self-organization in chemistry is considered as a product of interdisciplinary research that has enriched the chemical worldview with the concepts of a fractal, an attractor, a «strange» attractor, a brusselator, dissipative structures, a new understanding of thermodynamically non-equilibrium systems and a «reassessment of the concept of time». The current nature of the research of the Nobel Prize M. Eigen and I.R. Prigogine, which go beyond chemistry and have a general methodological significance, is noted.
