Meshcheryakova The history of the creation and development of the All-Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Growing, a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing” (VNIIO – a branch of the Federal State Budget Scientific Institution of Federal Scientifi c Center), which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, is presented. Key dates of organizational changes in the activities and structure of the Institute are given. The key areas of research and development of the Institute, successes and achievements are characterized. The successes of the Institute employees, awarded with awards of various levels, are shown. The close connection of the history of a scientific institution with the development of state policy in the field of agriculture is shown.
