All labor activity is connected with vegetable growing (from 1959 to the present) - the chief agronomist of the seed-growing collective farm in Southern Kazakhstan and the elite-seed-growing research institute NIIOKh in the Moscow Region, the head of vegetable state-owned plots in Southern Kazakhstan and in the European part of Russia (Penza Region), a senior researcher NIIOKH on standardization of vegetables and mushrooms and the economics of vegetable growing and mushroom growing, scientific secretary of the largest Russian research institute for vegetable growing. The main developer of more than 200 regulatory documents for fresh vegetables and mushrooms. Author and co-author of 170 scientific publications. And everywhere R.A. Meshcheryakova was distinguished by high professional knowledge as a serious and knowledgeable organizer of production and scientific research. For services to the Fatherland, he was awarded the title of Veteran of Labor and Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
