Domestic small-sized diesel engines of the f8,5/11 type produced by the Dagdiesel plant are used both as the main power plants for motor lifeboats and boats, and as auxiliary engines for driving various equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.). Given that these engines are installed on motor lifeboats, then in the conditions of a rescue operation at sea, when a disaster has occurred, requires the emergency commissioning of a lifeboat and, accordingly, its engine. This, in turn, is influenced by a huge number of factors, on which, ultimately, the success of the entire rescue operation will depend. And since the beginning of the production of small-sized diesel engines f8,5/11 at the Dagdiesel plant, since the mid-60s, a lot of work has been done to improve their designs and, accordingly, meet the requirements of standards.
