Udalova, A.I. Gabitov In the article the main stage of the buildings and structures movement technology development was reviewed. The first project of the building development movement is the bell tower of the Church of Santa Maria Maggiorne, placed in Rome. The building was moved approximately for 10 meters in 1455. The first prominent movement in Russia took place in 1812, when in Morshansk, Tambov province, church was moved. After the revolution, during the global reconstruction of Moscow, many streets were expanded. To preserve the history and culture of the past political regime, many projects have been implemented to move and dismantle buildings, since it was considered more economically profi table to move a building than to build a new one. The authors noted that due to the high cost today, the usage of building movement technology is effective only for cultural objects of historical value.
