Zakharov The article presents the scientific school of Professor GelperinNisonIlyich. His biography is given in suffi cient detail: study and work as an engineer, teacher and scientist. The role of N.I. Gelperin in the development of the chemical industry in the 30s of the 20th century, his work as the head of KB-35 of the People’s Commissar of Munitions during the war years. Being the head of the department "Processes and apparatuses of chemical technology" from 1942 to 1986 N.I. Gelperin created a scientific school, which trained a large number of scientists, teachers and engineers. Most of the material is devoted to the student N.I. Gelperin to Professor Viktor GertsevichAinshtein, who, in addition to training a whole galaxy of his students, was a brilliant lecturer, teacher - a person who differs from others in his talent and eccentricity, an unstoppable desire to rethink and redo everything in higher education.
