History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back THE HISTORY OF THE PREPARATION AND HOLDING OF THE FIRST REPORTING EXHIBITION OF GLAVNAUKA IN 1925 I.V. Sozinov The article discusses the history of the preparation and holding of the Reporting Exhibition of the Glavnauka Narkompros in 1925. Based on a wide range of archival sources, some of which are being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time, an attempt was made to consider the Exhibition not only as an attempt to represent the scientific institutions of Glavnauka, but also as an example of interaction between Glavnauka and subordinate institutions. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of questionnaires with feedback from visitors to the Exhibition, the materials of which represent a cross section of opinions of various social strata of the population not only about it, but also about the activities of Glavnauka as a whole. The reporting exhibition of Glavnauka is an important milestone in the history of science, when research institutes, museums, reserves, biological stations, and other institutions of Glavnauka found themselves under one roof.
