History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back History of the Power Station of the School Council Under the Holy Synod Petrushchenkov V.A. The article is devoted to the history of the creation and functioning of the electric station of the School Council under the Holy Synod. This station operated in the period from 1900 to 1922. Its signifi cance for the history of thermal power engineering is that in 1913, a very effective and advanced reconstruction of the heating and ventilation system was carried out on it. For their work, the exhaust steam of steam engines was used. In addition, pumping circulation of a water coolant was used in these systems, which was still a rarity at that time. The article discusses the organizational details of this process. The basic thermal schemes of the heat supply system before and after the reconstruction are given. The roles of the main participants in this process are defi ned: civil engineer A.K. Pavlovsky, mechanical engineer M.M. Kurbanov, engineer S.Y. Korsak.
