History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Physiological-Biochemical Researches in Introduced Plants: Historical Aspect S.M. Sokolova, V.V. Kondrat’eva The article reviews the principal directions in research work of the Laboratory of plant physiology and biochemistry since 1945. The most important achievements, published in several monographs, are presented. As a result of longterm investigation on gymnospermous seed protein complex new branch of science – chemotaxonomy – has been developed. Particular attention is given to study on physiological active substances and microelements in drug plants, and to study on dynamics of plant hormones and carbohydrates in the course of plant ontogeny and adaptation under introduction.
