Сhemotaxonomy and Evolutionary Biochemistry of Plants |

The problems connected with development of ideas of chemosystematics and evolutionary biochemistry in Tsitsin Main Botanical Garden RAS are elucidated in this paper. The main attention was given to discovery of essence of hypotheses and conceptions proposed by the authors during whole scientific work on the field of evolutionary biochemistry: the hypothesis of the seed proteins evolution; the idea on amino acid composition as genus character; the hypothesis of amino acid composition of total seed and germ of hypothetical grass ancestor; the hypothesis of «immunochemical radical» of grasses; hypothesis of adaptive role of prolamines and their importance in evolution and distribution of grasses; the idea on necessary of transition to integrative plant systematics. Formulated hypotheses were shown to result logically and be continuation and further development of the ideas of one of founder of plant evolutionary biochemistry professor A.V. Blagoveshensky.
