History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back From the History of Development of Chemistry in Georgia (1956–1964) L.I. Mgaloblishvili A short review of the development of the Chemistry sciences in Georgia in 1956–1964 is given in the work. A particular interest has been paid to scientific problems directly related to the solution of practical tasks of the Republic’s national economy. Some interesting details are given from the biographies of the scientists having laid the foundations for the development of Chemistry in Georgia as well as from those of their followers – chemists – whose scientific research in different fields of Chemistry and Chemical technologies was widely used in the given period in a number of branches of industry and agriculture.
