History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Ksenya Mikhailovna Gorbunova Yu.M.Polukarov Brief biographical facts are given. K.V. Gorbunova is a well-known scientist in the field of physicаl chemistry of electrochemical nucleation and growth of crystals. After the death of V.A. Kistyakovsky in 1952 she took upon herself his laboratory, soon it merged with the laboratory of surface layers structure and was so named. She developed crystalo-chemical theory describing growth of single crystals and created the theory of electrochemical reduction of slightly soluble compounds.
