History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back The Results of Investigations of Voltage Standard VET13–12–04 and the Using of Josephson Effect in Electrical Measurements of High Precision I.Ya. Krasnopolin The results of long-term investigations of Josephson voltage standard of VNIIMS and it’s using in precise electrical measurements are described. The described results of calibration of traditional measures of voltage and emf referenced to Josephson voltage standard are showing that the Josephson standard has a high accuracy, the traditional measures of standard are of high long-term stability and the standard is capable to transfer the voltage unit to the precise instruments with standard deviation 5·10–8–1·10–7. By using in voltage standard of Josephson arrays of new type – programmable Josephson junctions arrays – it is possible to calibrate high precision ADC and DVM of many digits and to find for these instruments the function of deviation from linearity with high precision.
