History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Approximate Calculation of the Constant e in Published and Unpublished Works of Leonhard Euler E.V. Shukhman The article observes Euler’s results related to calculation of the constant e including unpublished notes from his notebooks. In the first time we discovered Euler used rational Pade approximants for exponential function and also calculated through a series the approximate value of Gelfond’s constant eπ.
