History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Domestic History of Becoming and Development of Physical Methods of Chemistry in Ideas and Personalities. Mass-Reflectron R.V. Khatymov, L.Z. Khatymova, V.А. Маzunоv  In continuation of the series of essays under the common title the current communication is devoted to the history of elaboration of mass reflectron, non-magnetic time-of-flight mass analyzer, carried out by Leningrad physicist Boris Mamyrin and his colleagues in 1960-s. Mass spectrometers based on this apparatus and produced by many manufacturers of scientific equipment became indispensable instrument for chemical analysis, biochemical and medical studies, for monitoring the technological processes, and stimulated the progress in various fields of natural science.
