History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Recent developments for genetic engineering Kovaleva S.K. The scientist-biologist the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Skulachev has thrown down an old age challenge. The theory which has been put forward by Skulachev, says that ageing is the program put in us by evolution. Together with the colleagues the academician has created a preparation named «ions of Skulacheva». The medicine for an old age urged to protect cages of our organism from the free radicals which are at the bottom of all illnesses. New substances are synthesized and medical products which can resist to senile illnesses are received and even cure some of them. Successful experiments with laboratory animals and positive results of veterinary tests have strengthened confidence of a command of academician Skulacheva of necessity of creation of «human» eye drops – high-grade medicinal a preparation. Work is conducted from 2009. And such preparation has been created. Anywhere in the world there are no analogues of this medicine. But on eye drops project plans of academician Skulacheva do not stop. The ambitious purpose of the command it is necessary former – to slow down process of ageing of the person.
