History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back Technological processes of natural gas Liquefaction at northern factories Shammazov A.M. Dorozhkin V.Yu. Mastobaev B.N. Gimaeva A.R. The Arctic becomes the advanced region for industry of sea investigation and extraction, possessing, according to calculations, to 25 % of undiscovered world reserves of oil and gas. Nevertheless, the extraction of hydrocarbons in this region faced till now such problems, as the high cost of development of territories, absence of necessary technologies both the big public and political resonance. To keep the positions of Russia in deliveries of hydrocarbons is necessary to increase extraction and gas manufacture in Arctic region. As Arctic region settles down in the distance from the basic consumers, manufacture of liquefied natural gas (LNG) is one of the most probable transport scenarios. Therefore questions of liquefaction technologies in northern conditions become more and more actual.
