The article is devoted to the life and work of a prominent Soviet historian of mathematics, compiler and editor of many publications of the history of science, Ozhigova Helena Petrovna (1923–1994), ninety years since the birth who turned 1 March 2013 Set out a person’s biography, youth who came to the years of the Great Patriotic War, survived the siege of Leningrad. A brief outline of her educational activities in 1952–1964 years. Orsk, Great Luke, Leningrad, and then – of the Leningrad branch of the Institute of the History of Science and Technique, Academy of Sciences of the USSR (LO IIET ANUSSR). The main themes of her research were: «The history of the theory of numbers» and «Mathematics in St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences» Working in these areas, E.P. Ozhigova deeply studied archival documents, materials published in academic journals, vintage, and literature on the history of science in different languages. In particular, many years engaged in research for marks on the theory of numbers from handwritten notebooks Euler (1707–1783). The result of this work was the monograph «The development of the theory of numbers in Russia» (1972), a series of books published in the academic series «Scientific and biographical literature», participation in the capital of collective works on the history of mathematics. The paper presents an overview of the major scientific works of E.P. Ozhigova.
