History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back THE CONTRIBUTION OF SCIENTISTS OF INSTITUTE COMPLEX ANALYSIS REGIONAL PROBLEMS FEB RAS IN GEO-ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES IN THE FAR EAST OF RUSSIA: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE R.M. Kogan This article is described the geoecological research conducted by scientists of the Institute ащк Complex Analysis of Regional Problems (IKARP) FEB RAS in the late XXth and early XIXst centuries. The basic destinations: the development of the theoretical foundations of geo-environmental analysis, the meaning of the ecological block of sustainable development scenarios regions, quantitative methods for evaluation and forecasting the ecological status of natural objects. Research contributes some contribution to the solution of theoretical and applied problems of geo-environmental analysis. Developed theoretical positions and geographic information systems allow carrying out the assessment of the actual state of natural objects and predicting the dynamics of their changes. The practical signifi cance of the created collective of authors approach to the environmental assessment is the ability to ranking of areas according to the degree of anthropogenic pressure, and differentiates the most disturbed natural object for the development of areas of their rehabilitation.
