History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back CLOTHES AS ETHNOCULTURE SIGN. FIGHTING CLOTHESAND MILITARY EQUIPMENT (ON MATERIAL OF THE АDYGHE «NART» EPOS) A.V. Gucheva Article is devoted to the description of fi ghting clothes and attributes of military equipment of heroes of the аdyghe «Nart» epos. A defensive armor consisted of a helmet, a chain armor, elbow pieces and gloves. The Kabardian chain armor is in detail considered – afje dzhanje which enjoyed great popularity is in detail considered as the defensive armor which consists of the iron rings passed each other, as a rule, one ring takes four next. Distinctions in production of a chain armor and armor, namely that for chain armors the wire with round section, for armors with the fl attened was used are shown. The majority of chain armors was produced with short sleeves; the kolchuzhny barmitsa supplemented fi ghting nagolov'ja with a helmet and a misyurka. A high conic iron helmet is riveted from two half. It isn't strikingly decorated: some consignment notes of silver, and even iron plates with an engraving, common people or gilding and are a little ornament. Also in article, it is considered tadzhely – a podkolchuzhnik, a clothes sort; a shirt, a special type of a caftan which was put on under a chain armor.
