Malih The paper gives a brief history of the research activities of the laboratory of nursering grapes in All-Russian Scientifi c Research Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking. The main stages of development in nursery conditions of the northern areas of viticulture of the Russian Federation. Great contribution to the development of the nursery made scientists: P.A. Manohin, N.P. Buzin, E.I. Zakharova N.A. Ferronsky, G.P. Malih. Carried out studies were aimed at improving the industrial modes of production of seedlings, the development of energy and resource-saving technologies of cultivation of grapes. Developments of scientists found widespread introduction into viticulture of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Moldova.
