History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back STELLAR-INERTIAL NAVIGATION SYSTEMS: PAST, REAL, FUTURE G.I. Chesnokov, S.A. Cherenkov The framework of stellar-inertial navigation systems on the basis of strapdown laser inertial system and the scanning stellar tracker are given. The types of autonomous inertial system errors and the method of vehicle celestial positioning time divergent error elimination are analyzed. The article describes the role of JSC MIEA in development and production, as well as service implementation of three generations of national high technology navigation systems for long-range aircraft. Further development of activities in this area is shown.
