History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back A HISTORY OF LINEAR PROGRAMMING IN OUR COUNTRY AND US LIKE AN APPLICATION OF PROPP’S STRUCTURAL FORMULA OF DIFFICULT TASK SOLVING V.B. Kyrianov V. Propp’s structural formula of Russian fairy-tale (1928) is provided. This formula is understood as a model for solving diffi cult tasks and attached to the history of solving the problem of linear programming, fi rst in our country (L. Kantorovich, 1939), and later in the United States (G. Danzig et al., 1947).
