History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back THE FOUNDER OF THE RUSSIAN SCHOOL OF PLASMA CHEMISTRY AND SUCCESSFUL INVENTOR L.S. POLAK S.A. Ryzhkovа In the history of national science, professor L.S. Polak became known as the creator of scientifi c plasma chemistry school. Under the leadership of L.S. Polak made a detailed development of approaches to the study of chemical reactions in equilibrium and non-equilibrium plasma, the works on the study of chemical reactions in the plasma, on the theoretical study of the kinetics of chemical processes at high energies. But even in the hardest conditions of the camps and links L.S. Polak was able to conduct scientifi c research. He was the first in the Soviet Union established the scientifi c basis of the gamma-neutron logging, developed experimental apparatus and tested under field conditions in the oil exploration and drilling wells.
