Soldatova The article fi rst presented a report on the state tests seaplane MP-1 aircraft G.M. Beriev Aircraft Company in 1934. This aircraft was operated for many years in the North, Siberia and the Far East in the Department of Civil Aviation – in places where not enough airfields, but there were plenty of rivers and lakes. The plane carried passengers and economic cargoes, used polar aviation and aviation units of various organizations and the People’s Commissariats for aerial photography, ice and fi sh exploration, exploration work at BAM, in Dahlström, the construction of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, and substantially enlarged during the Great Patriotic War the fl eet of the Navy. The document was extracted from the fund of the State Research Institute of Civil Aviation, which is permanently stored in the Russian State Archive in Samara.
