Fedyun The article deals with the question of the formation of scientifi c historical schools in Donbass in the 1970s–1980s by the example of Donetsk State University. The main emphasis is placed on the sources of formation of these schools, their leaders and functioning’s features. The main directions of scientifi c activity within the framework of scientifi c schools are considered in chronological order, taking into account the names and surnames of their key representatives.
