Zagrebneva, O.Yu. Khalilova The article is devoted to Vasily Prohorovich Goryachkin. V.P. Goryachkin is a Soviet scientist, academician, honored worker of science and technology of the RSFSR, founder of the science of agricultural engineering, founder of the All-Union Scientifi c Research Institute of Agricultural Engineering. Goryachkin made a huge contribution to the study of agricultural machines imported from abroad, and then their production in the factories of Russia according to his own drawings. Under the guidance of the scientist, about 40 types of agricultural machinery were developed and produced. But even after the death of the academician, the production of agricultural machines continued according to his scientifi c works. Keywords: V.P.
