History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back SULTANBEK KLISHBIYEV IN ADMINISTRATIVE PRACTICIANS IN THE NALCHIK DISTRICT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 20TH CENTURY D.N. Prasolov In article the questions connected with administrative activity of S. Klishbiyev – the fi rst Kabardian who has headed the Nalchik district are considered. His tenure of the chief of the district in 1910–1917 falls on the difficult period which has exerted considerable impact on character of tasks which had to be solved on maintenance of public order, permission of the land question and regulation of cultural and ideological processes in the district. The duality of position of S. Klishbiyev who, being the Russian offi cer and the representative of the imperial power, obviously, showed understanding of pressing problems of the compatriots and took feasible actions to streamlining of their public life is noted. The main achievement of S. Klishbiyev it is possible to note the solution of state and political tasks which was successful to him before revolution of 1917 and providing conditions for assistance of further sociocultural development of Kabardians and other people of the Nalchik district.
