Pyatigorsk was a few interesting coincidences, making it the fi rst in this or that field. One of the first pioneers of Ukraine. Member of the first city committee. The fi rst subscriber of the first children's newspaper in Europe. The first graduate student, L.D. Landau, co-author of it on the first volume of theoretical physics. These, and other coincidence series, make a biography of L.M. Pyatigorsk is interesting regardless of its other achievements.
