Musikhina The article reveals the scientific, methodological and pedagogical aspects of the activities of Alla Efimovna Malykh, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor of the Perm State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University. One of the sides of the multifaceted scientific and methodological activity of Alla Efimovna is considered – the ability to popularize encyclopedic historical and mathematical knowledge to the level of students and pupils of secondary schools. Malykh She paid great attention to the preparation of future teachers of mathematics to conduct events of a historical theme, which was reflected in numerous methodological articles and developments. A unique example of such a development is a historical and mathematical competition.
