History of Science and Engineering Annotation << Back REVIEW OF THE HISTORY OF THE LINE, CIRCULE AND TRANSPORT A.E. Malykh, E.V. Bezenkova Classical means for decision of constructive problems (ruler, compass and transporter) were examined. They were most early. Their rise, improvement in different countries and continents was elucidated. Functions of instrument: tracing, measuring and transfer of dimensions, calculation of lengths, areas and volumes of geometrical figures was described. Application of instruments in architecture, painting, construction of buildings, medicine, jewelry and ets was arranged. Contributions of scientists and engineers in inverter of different kinds of instruments was a valuated. Historical information was shown.
