Shnyrev A system of parameters for successful design of pedestrian streets is developed: safety, infrastructural fullness, recreational and physical activity opportunities, aesthetic potential. Activities to ensure each of these indicators and examples of their implementation are presented. A comparative analysis of two pedestrian streets of St. Petersburg is carried out according to the developed system. The proposed system of parameters and indicators will allow project organizations and government agencies to evaluate future and existing pedestrian streets complexly, compare their potential and create projects to improve the quality and attractiveness of pedestrian zones for citizens.
