The article traces the main historical stages of the creation of domestic berry harvesters positional and continuous action, since the midsixties of the last century. The description of laboratory and research stands and equipment for the study of physical and mechanical properties of plant objects, as well as to identify optimal modes of removal of berries. Analyzed designs are created in different time, experienced and serial berry harvesters machines MYAG 000, PYAM 000, PYAM-71, PYAM-72, PYAM-73, MPYA-1, MPYA-1A, MPYA-1B, KPYA-1, KSM-55 and accessories, including the specifi c features of application berry harvesters machines hand-held electric vibrators EYAM 200-8. Given information about the results of the acceptance, comparative and state tests created berry harvesters. Comparative indicators of the quality technological operation harvesting black currant berries are presented. It also outlined current requirements black currant varieties, which increase the effectiveness of machine picking berries on industrial plantations, and ways of improving domestic berry harvesters machines.
