AEROBIC METHYLOBACTERIA AS PHYTOSIMBIONTS |

The representations of the taxonomic diversity of aerobic methylotrophic phytosymbiotic bacteria were expanded: new members of methylobacteria associated with various herbaceous, woody, and shrubbery plants were isolated, described, and characterized. It was established that the mechanisms of dialogue between methylobacteria and plants include the synthesis of phytohormones, vitamin B12, siderophores, the ability to nitrogen fixation, phosphatesolubilization, and antagonistic activity. A number of strains were revealed the synthesis of enzymes 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate deaminase, which reduces the concentration ripening hormone of plant - ethylene, and D-cysteine desulfohydrase, which is involved in the degradation of D-cysteine and the removal of its toxic effect. It was shown that colonization by methylobacteria increased adaptive protection, resistance of plant to oxidative stress caused by herbicides and heavy metals, and stimulated growth and development of plant in vitro and in vivo conditions. The results of this work originate a methodological basis for the development of biological products that increase resistance to stress and productivity of plant crops.
