Fedyun The article is devoted to analyzes the main vectors of international cooperation of Donetsk State University (DonSU) in the 1970s - 1980s. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens, characterized by its infrastructure, quantitative and qualitative indicators in the contingent of student and teaching staff. Attention is drawn to the role of the main faculties of the university in the preparation of foreign citizens and the establishment of international relations of the university as a whole. The priority areas of international cooperation of DonSU with higher education institutions of various countries of the world are investigated.
