Kurmanov The article dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Institute of Geology of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences contains information about the history of the laboratory of the Cenozoic Geology, about the employees who worked in it and are working now. The formation and development of the direction of studying the Cenozoic sediments at the Institute of Geology is considered, the main achievements are characterized.
