Krutykh A submarine is a very complex technical device. Its rugged body includes an incredible bunch of incongruous. Weapons, electrical engineering, electronics, fuels and lubricants, gas mixtures and all this under high pressure and in an aggressive environment. Under extreme conditions, submarines from different countries are involved in a great confrontation at the extreme depths of the oceans. Our world is so unstable. Any ill-conceived action, threat by action, and even a word can lead to a confl ict, including a military one. Of course, we are talking about the state level, but this does not make it any easier. And in order to prevent confrontation, it is necessary to monitor and analyze in detail any facts of collisions, including in the sphere of «hydrospace». May be in the future it will help to defend the fragile peace on our planet. This article analyzes cases of the combat use of submarines after the Second World War, in international military conflicts, as well as some reflections on the effectiveness of submarines in modern warfare.
